Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most frequently preferred aesthetic operations by women who complain about the size of their breasts or who want to achieve a more aesthetic appearance. Women who have complaints about the size of their breasts can have breasts in the size they want and compatible with their bodies with breast augmentation surgery.
Before breast augmentation surgery, patient-specific planning is made. For this, the position of the breasts in the rib cage is evaluated. In the light of this evaluation, it is ensured that the breasts reach the most appropriate place and size. It is possible to intervene with breast aesthetics for sagging problems that occur in some women due to aging and other different factors. Thus, it can be ensured that women have more firm, upright, large and aesthetic-looking breasts.
Breast Augmentation Surgery is One of the Most Preferred Aesthetic Surgeries
Women who complain about the small size of their breasts and therefore want to eliminate the disproportionate appearance of their bodies can have breast augmentation surgery to make their hip-chest proportions more aesthetic. Women who have problems such as sagging and shrinking of their breasts after pregnancy and breastfeeding may also need surgeries such as breast augmentation and breast lift. Since having small breasts can cause self-confidence problems in some women, having more aesthetic-looking and larger breasts with breast augmentation surgery can also have a great psychological effect. The completion of the breast development of the patient is deemed as a prerequisite for the application of breast augmentation surgery.
There is a memory gel in the fifth-generation silicone prostheses used in breast augmentation surgeries. Even if there is any puncture or cutting, the contents of the silicone prosthesis do not flow out. It does not need to be changed, as there is no limited period of use. Regardless of the silicone prosthesis, deformation, sagging and a decrease in the volume of the breast tissue can be observed as a result of aging. When such situations are encountered, breast aesthetic surgeries may be needed to replace the prosthesis or to recover the breast and gain a better appearance.
Breast augmentation surgery is performed under general anesthesia. A small incision is made under or next to the breast. A pocket is created in which the implant can be placed directly under the chest muscle or breast tissue. The implant is placed and the incision is closed. Some doctors may prefer to put a drain to drain excess blood or fluid that may occur in the incision area.
Be Careful While Selecting Your Doctor for Breast Augmentation Surgery
As is the case with all aesthetic operations, choosing an experienced doctor plays an important role in the success of breast augmentation aesthetics. In order to find the best doctor, it may be necessary to conduct research and to get information from acquaintances working in the field of healthcare. The chosen doctor must be well-trained and specialized in plastic surgery. Having a specialization in breast aesthetic surgery is also an important reason for preference. The doctor should clearly inform the patient during the consultation, answer her questions clearly, and prevent the patient from having unrealistic expectations. Doctor’s having sufficient experience and applying the most appropriate technique for the patient also play an important role in reducing the risk of postoperative surgical complications.
If You Will Have a Breast Augmentation Surgery, Pay Attention to These Points
The physical characteristics of the patient who will undergo breast augmentation aesthetics should be considered and the selection of silicone implants should be made accordingly. While deciding which implant is suitable, the patient’s age, height, shape and size of the breasts, and the shape of the rib cage should be examined. Analog simulation with the 3D imaging system during the examination facilitates the selection of the most suitable implant for the patient’s breast size. In addition, in this way, the patient can have an idea about the image she will have after the surgery.
In breast augmentation aesthetics, two different prostheses, namely round and drop prosthesis, are used. The walls of the prostheses, the outer wall of which is made of a silicone sheath, and which have the silicone gel inside, may have a smooth or rough surface. Silicone prostheses have different sizes in terms of height, volume, and base diameter. Although it is possible to remove very slight breast sagging with breast augmentation surgery, breast lift aesthetic surgery is needed for moderate and advanced sagging.
It is possible to feel pain for a few days after breast augmentation surgery. If necessary, pain can be controlled with painkillers prescribed by the doctor. Swelling and bruises in the application area usually disappear within 2 weeks. However, approximately 6 – 12 months are needed for the swelling in the breast to completely go down and the breast to reach its final state. Following the doctor’s recommendations completely after breast augmentation surgery ensures a fast and healthy recovery process. Heavy exercises and lifting loads should be avoided for one month after the surgery. A sports bra should be used for the period specified by the doctor. During the healing process, care should be taken to sleep face up. The inclined sleeping position, in which the upper body is slightly raised, ensures blood flow and plays an important role in reducing inflammation. Thus, it is possible to heal surgical incisions more smoothly.
