It is normal to encounter some changes in the facial areas of people due to aging. The signs of aging usually begin to be noticed in the face area of people. In addition to aging, factors such as gravity and the harmful rays of the sun are among the causes of changes in the face area. Due to the decrease in muscle tone, sagging in the muscles and skin usually occurs in the neck and chin area. The skin becomes dry and the skin begins to lose its shine. With the decrease in the fat tissue under the skin, sagging is observed together with other soft tissues. In addition, skin wrinkles increase. For many years, lines are formed on the skin due to the work of the facial muscles, and skin elasticity and vitality decrease due to the decrease in collagen and elastin fiber production. As a result, the rate of new cell turnover in the skin slows down. These changes are more observed in areas that are more exposed to the harmful rays of the sun, and the person may appear aged, sad and tired.

What Deformities Occur on the Face?

A fall at the eyebrow level, sagging in the mid-face area, deep lines in the forehead and lower eyelid area, drooping of the eyelids, deep lines from the nose to the corner of the lips, double chin under the chin and neck area can occur. Although it is not possible to stop the effects of aging, the effects of aging can be reversed with facelift surgeries. It is ensured that the person has a more vigorous, healthy and youthful facial appearance. Thanks to facelift surgery, in which men and women show great interest, irregularities and sagging in the forehead, face and neck skin are eliminated. In addition, after the excess fat tissues on the neck and cheeks are removed, the facial fascia and fat tissues are pulled and suspended in their anatomical places. In this way, facial tissues are reinforced. In addition to the correction of the eyelids, other complementary interventions needed can also be applied.

Facelift aesthetic surgery is performed under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia and can be applied to both men and women. The duration of the surgery may vary according to the technique to be applied and the scope of the procedure. In facelift aesthetic surgery, the excess skin in the patient’s face is removed and the carrier system of the face under the skin is reshaped and stretched. It is then sewn into its new place using special stitches. If it is needed specifically for the patient, facial fullness can be achieved by placing fat tissues under the skin. Fat tissues also increase skin elasticity due to the stem cells they contain. It is possible to combine face lift aesthetic surgeries with different surgeries, especially eyelid aesthetics and eyebrow lifting surgeries, if needed specifically for the patient.

In mini facelift aesthetic surgery, in which incisions similar to facelift surgery are used, the skin in a more limited part is removed. It is an extremely effective method for eliminating deformations in the chin and neck area. The recovery time of mini facelift aesthetic surgery is faster than facelift aesthetic surgery. It also has the feature of being a method that can be applied without spoiling the naturalness of the face.

Who Can Have Face Lift Surgery?

Face lift surgery can be applied to people who have started to sag on the face and neck skin, but have not completely lost their skin elasticity. Although it is generally preferred to be applied to people over the age of 40, the basic condition is that there is no obstacle to the surgery in the general health of the patient. However, if the person needs it for structural or genetic reasons, it may be possible to apply face lift aesthetic surgery at an earlier age.

During facelift aesthetic surgery, eyebrow lifting, forehead correction, eyelid and nose aesthetics can also be performed in order for the patient to have a younger and more beautiful appearance. In addition, in cases where the patient needs, injections of fillers such as fat and hyaluronic acid, peeling or Botox applications can be performed to remove fine wrinkles on the face.

Curiosities About Face Lift Aesthetics

After facelift aesthetic surgery, pain can be felt at a level that can be controlled with the use of simple painkillers. Swelling and bruises in the application area usually resolve spontaneously within 1 week. Keeping the head above heart level and sleeping in a semi-sitting position can be effective in accelerating the healing process. Also, you should drink plenty of water whenever possible and avoid salty foods. During the period specified by the doctor, care should be taken to avoid heavy exercise, to use sunscreen creams regularly, and not to use steam baths and saunas.

A mask should be worn day and night for the first week after facelift surgery, and only at night for the next two weeks. The reason for this is to prevent the accumulation of blood under the skin and to ensure that the facial skin is fully settled.

Although facelift aesthetic surgery can provide 10-20 years of rejuvenation on the face of the person, depending on the scope of the procedure, it is not possible to completely stop the effects of aging. Although the duration of the facelift surgery varies from person to person, it may be possible to perform a facelift aesthetic surgery again if requested as a result of the effects of aging in the following periods.
