Breast reduction is among the plastic surgery procedures that women frequently apply. Sometimes patients may prefer breast reduction operations to improve their aesthetic appearance and sometimes to eliminate health problems caused by the size of their breasts. Having breasts that are larger than normal can lead to excessive sweating and rash, as well as back and lower back pain. Such situations can also cause women to be negatively affected psychologically.
Although different techniques are used in breast reduction aesthetic surgery, a certain amount of scar remains as is the case with every surgical operation. Since the scar that will remain varies depending on the technique to be applied, it can be vertical from the nipple to the bottom of the nipple, inverted T or L-shaped. The scars formed during the operation may become completely obscure over time with a healthy healing process. However, depending on personal characteristics, poor healing process and some factors, scars may not heal well and may take on an uncomfortable appearance.
The liposuction method, which has been applied with increasing frequency in recent years, stands out as an application that minimizes the possibility of scarring in the breast reduction procedure. In fact, although scars are formed in the liposuction method, the incisions made are in millimeters. It is also performed on the natural curves of the body. Therefore, there is no obvious scar.
The decision to apply the laser breast reduction procedure, which does not require any surgical operation and does not cause incision marks, is made by evaluating factors such as the general health status of the patient, the form and physical structure of the breasts. With the melting process, most of the excess fat is removed from the body, but the remaining fat is metabolically excreted within the body’s normal cycle.
How Is Laser Liposuction Performed?
Laser liposuction is a popular technique applied as an alternative to traditional liposuction methods in recent years. Although laser liposuction is difficult to reach with traditional methods, it provides a great advantage to aesthetic surgeons in accessing body areas suitable for body shaping with laser. In this method, unlike traditional liposuction methods, laser energy is used for the purpose of liquefying the fat in the targeted area. The liquefied fat is removed with fine cannulas. Laser liposuction also provides tightening of existing tissues due to the heat applied to the area during the breakdown of adipose tissue. If the amount of lubrication in the breast or breast tissue is high, and the location of the nipple needs to be rearranged, an effective result cannot be obtained with the application of this method.
Laser liposuction, which is a minimally invasive procedure, is performed with specially designed liposuction lasers to target only fat cells and protect muscle and nerve tissue while melting the fat under the skin. When this method is applied in small areas, the fats are broken down by laser. Then, it is excreted metabolically through the liver and kidneys without the need to be taken out.
After the procedure, which is completed in 30-45 minutes, a compression bandage and a special bra are used. Since it is a minimally invasive procedure, there are no situations such as stitches, wounds, bruises or pain. Bandages are removed 3-4 days after the procedure, and patients can return to their daily lives 2-3 hours after the application. Laser liposuction is also a frequently used method in solving the gynecomastia problem.
Is Breast Reduction Performed with Vaser Liposuction?
Vaser liposuction, which is one of the alternative methods to the traditional liposuction procedure, is also known as Liposelection. In the Vaser liposuction procedure, also known as UAL (Ultrasound Assisted Liposuction), the fat cells must be liquefied before they are removed.
Ultrasound energy, which is a vibrating energy that cannot be heard by humans, has the ability to generate large amounts of heat at high levels. Also, since heat is based on vibration, it is possible for energy to enter the skin with a wave pattern. After the energy reaches the fat under the skin, it melts the fat with the heat produced. Due to its feature, it can be clearly observed that it has the effect of shaping and restructuring the appearance when applied to key areas of the body.
The Vaser liposuction procedure begins by injecting a special solution mixed with anesthetic substances into the application area. By using Vaser ultrasonic probes, the breakdown of fat cells is ensured. The applied vibration ensures the separation of the fat cells. After dissolving the fat cells and emulsifying the fluid infused into the application area, the fluid and fat cells are removed through small cannulas. Since some of the local anesthetics remain in the tissues in the application area, there is an advantage in reducing the pain felt after the application.
The most important feature of Vaser liposuction is that it is a procedure designed to dissolve the fat in the application area while protecting other tissues. Ultrasonic waves are used to easily release the adipose tissue from the surrounding connective tissue. In this way, it is possible for the person to have a tighter and smoother skin after the application.
