Laser lipolysis is a method that is applied by directly blasting the fat cell membrane using a dioid laser beam. It is recognized as one of the most innovative treatments in body contouring practices. Laser lipolysis is frequently preferred as one of the most effective treatment methods in the elimination of regional fat and skin laxity problems.
Laser lipolysis, which is used in the treatment of regional lubrication resistant to sports and diet, provides effective results in areas with permanent fat despite sports and diet. Therefore, the aim is not to lose weight, but to use regional slimming methods to dissolve localized fat that causes a disproportionate appearance by distorting the body image. From this point of view, it can be clearly seen that laser lipolysis is not a weight loss but a regional shaping method.
Laser Lipolysis is a Comfortable Method
Laser lipolysis can be called the non-surgical form of the liposuction procedure. Laser lipolysis is applied by sending laser beams with special laser lipolysis devices to the area where the fats are clustered in the application area where fat removal is desired. Thus, it is aimed to destroy the tissue walls that hold the fat tissues and cause the appearance of weight. When the walls of the adipose tissues break down, the fats liquefy and are excreted in the body. Thus, weight is lost and slimming is provided.
Laser lipolysis can be applied to areas such as breast, hip, abdomen, belly, hip, jowl, as well as areas with cellulite. Laser lipolysis can also be performed on all candidates who are suitable for laser and liposuction application. Laser lipolysis can be applied to women and men who are pregnant and breastfeeding, do not have infectious diseases on the skin in the application area, have normal hormonal development, and do not take any medication.
As is the case with liposuction, taking drugs with blood thinners should be discontinued about a week before laser lipolysis. The treatment area should be clean and ready for application. Sunscreen creams should be applied for 2 days after the application, and factors that may cause irritation and infection should be avoided. The number of sessions may vary depending on the type of fat in the area, the thickness of the membranes, and how long the fat will disappear depending on these factors. Laser lipolysis is applied in at least 3 sessions, and the number of sessions can be increased if necessary as a result of patient-specific evaluations.
Before starting the laser lipolysis application, the regional excess fat to be intervened first is marked. As local anesthesia is applied, protection from photo-thermal energy is also provided. After approximately 10 minutes of local anesthesia, the laser fiber optic cable is sent to the area where the adipose tissue is located, and all layers of the adipose tissue are scanned thanks to the cable. The process is terminated by giving a certain energy to the tissue and only a pressure bandage is applied without the need for stitches.
Session duration may vary according to the width of the application area. Although 15 minutes is usually sufficient for narrow areas, a single session takes up to 40 minutes in large application areas.
The permanence of the results of laser lipolysis may vary according to the patient’s body structure, hormonal structure and the diet to be applied. In order to ensure the long-term permanence of the procedure, the patient should pay attention to the diet and exercise regularly.
After the laser lipolysis application, the part where the procedure is performed is bandaged. It is normal to feel some pain after the application, and in this case, it is sufficient to take simple painkillers. Laser lipolysis can be used comfortably in all areas where adipose tissue is deposited. The most important advantages of laser lipolysis are that bruises and swelling are less after the procedure and that the application is performed under local anesthesia.
Laser Lipolysis and Liposuction are Different Procedures
In the human body, pregnancy, insufficient activity, malnutrition and many different reasons occur due to fat deposit. Laser lipolysis and liposuction are effective methods that can be preferred for people to get rid of unwanted fat that cannot be removed with sports and a balanced diet. Both procedures can be applied to different body parts such as abdomen, hips, waist, legs and under the chin.
Laser lipolysis, in other words, liposuction is the process in which the melted fat is removed from the body as well as the fat breakdown procedure. Pain in laser lipolysis is much less than in classical liposuction. Thanks to the tightening effect of laser beams in laser lipolysis, sagging is prevented in people with problematic skin structure. Compared to the classical liposuction procedure, the pain and swelling are much less in the laser lipolysis process. The most common post-administration side effect is sensitivity. Thick dressings and bandages are not required after the application is completed.
In laser lipolysis, regional thinning can be achieved depending on the recovery and tightening of the skin. The recovery process after the application is fast and comfortable. Laser lipolysis, which is a very safe application, is applied with local anesthesia and the patient can quickly return to their daily life. It is possible to intervene in more than one area in the same session. In addition, laser lipolysis can also be preferred for the purpose of eliminating the deformations that occur in the patient after the classical liposuction application.
