There is no very painful process after breast augmentation surgery. Although breast enlargement can be seen and felt immediately, it is normal to feel some tension after the operation. After the operation, a special dressing is applied to create the necessary pressure on the chest and contribute to a healthy healing process. According to the technique applied during the operation, if it is preferred to put a drain in order to remove the leaks that may occur in the places where the prosthesis is placed, it should be removed a few days after the operation. In the early period following the surgery, there may be excessive sensitivity or numbness in the breasts.
Although it varies from person to person, patients usually start to drink fluids about 6 hours after the surgery and are discharged the day after the surgery under normal conditions. However, during the first week after discharge, care should be taken to lie on the back, side turns should be limited, and the doctor’s recommendations should be followed completely.
Patients are usually allowed to take a shower 2 days after surgery. After the surgery, the dressing is opened on the 2nd day and the dressing is done and the patient starts to wear a sports bra. The sports bra should be used continuously for at least 3 weeks after the operation.
It is possible to see more intense complications in the first 4 days after the surgery. During this period, edema, tension and possible color changes may occur. During this period, it is very important for the patient to rest in order to experience a healthy and fast recovery process. Usually, at the end of a week, the complications begin to disappear. Under normal conditions, it is possible for the patient to start driving a few days after the operation and to return to business and social life. Although it is necessary to wait 8 weeks after the surgery to start sports such as tennis, swimming and fitness, doctor’s approval must be obtained as there may be differences specific to the patient.
As the edema resolves over time, the breast takes its final shape and begins to display a natural appearance. Although it takes an average of 4 to 6 months for the breast to reach its final shape, in some cases this period may last up to 12 months.
Since the breast tissue is not removed during breast augmentation surgery, there is no damage to the milk ducts. Accordingly, there is no problem with breastfeeding after breast augmentation surgery.
The Technique and Doctor Experience Applied in Breast Augmentation Surgery are Very Important
Undoubtedly, one of the issues that play a role in a woman’s feeling of well-being and self-confidence is her appearance. However, many women are dissatisfied with the appearance, shape or size of their breasts. Accordingly, breast augmentation aesthetics stands out as an extremely effective method for women to have the appearance they want.
During breast augmentation surgery, which is one of the most frequently applied aesthetic operations today, the breast volume is increased by placing natural materials made of silicone, called implants or prostheses, under the breast tissue. With breast augmentation aesthetic operations, small breasts are provided to have a larger, fuller and more aesthetically pleasing appearance.
With the effect of developments and changes in the field of medicine, breast augmentation surgery is extremely easy to perform and the recovery process is fast, and the frequency of its application is increasing. However, it is very important that the doctor who will perform the operation determines the experience, expertise and the most accurate techniques for the patient. A defect at these points may cause negative situations regarding the operation process and thereafter.
You Can Achieve Permanent Results with Silicone Prosthesis
As a result of the developments in technology and medicine, breast augmentation surgery has become one of the most preferred aesthetic operations with the best results. Drop or round silicone breast prostheses are used in breast augmentation operation. There are also differences between breast prostheses in terms of width, height and height. Silicone breast prostheses, which are the product of the latest technology, can remain in the patient for life and thus, it is possible to obtain permanent results.
Techniques to be used in breast augmentation surgery are determined according to the patient’s weight, height, body length, rib cage width, hip and shoulder width. In the examination before the operation, this information is evaluated and the operation is planned by determining the most appropriate technique for the patient.
The most preferred prostheses in breast augmentation surgery are drop silicone prostheses. It is possible to obtain the closest appearance to the natural breast shape with drop silicone prostheses. When looked at from the side, they appear larger and fuller downwards, while when looked at from the front, they have a rounded and aesthetic appearance. The use of drop silicone prosthesis provides much better results, especially in patients with a full upper breast structure.
When round silicone prostheses are used, the breast has an equal appearance from every angle. Because they stand upright, they are generally preferred by women who love cleavage. When round silicone prostheses are applied to people with some breast tissue under the breast, it is possible to obtain a natural appearance just like drop silicone prostheses. Since the upper part of the breast is also completely filled, an even appearance can be obtained throughout the breast.
